Signed Pages from Vintage Autograph Books
Autograph albums are often sold in their complete, original state at auction, but single leaves removed from an autograph album are equally as common.
If an autograph album is well-filled, removing a single page may have an unfortunate result in rendering a second autograph difficult to display. This is often seen with a single autograph on one side of a small sheet, yet a second autograph from another celebrity remains on the backside. There’s no truly pleasing solution to displaying something like this, save a double-sided stand-up frame.
This particular F. Scott Fitzgerald autograph has no other signature on the reverse side. These sorts of signatures are often coupled with a portrait of the signer and displayed together as a single unit.
